Prescott Frontier Days® Inc. presented the 2024 World’s Oldest Rodeo July 1-7 featuring eight rollicking performances with the finest cowboys and cowgirls in the West, the state’s second-longest parade, rodeo dances, cowboy church, mutton-bustin’ by the cutest kids and the most impressive horses and livestock on the circuit. Locals and tourists alike gathered at the hallowed Rodeo Grounds to cheer on old favorites and discover new talent — and friends along the way.
Sparks flew across the whole Fourth of July week as rodeo stars rode bulls and broncos, roped calves, wrestled steers and raced wild horses. Beloved traditional events were held with modern touches as the rodeo built to its culmination with the awarding of a belt buckle to All-Around Cowboy Kalai Nobriga of Kealakekua, Hawaii. The total payout was a record $339,401 for a total of 620 competitors.
