The Verde Valley Wine Festival returns for its 6th year on Saturday, May 11, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Co-sponsored by the Verde Valley Wine Consortium and the City of Cottonwood, wine enthusiasts from near and far will gather to celebrate the best of northern Arizona’s burgeoning wine industry. In addition to the 20+ wineries in attendance, festival-goers will also be able to enjoy local beer, spirits, bites from local eateries, shopping with local artisans and live music – all within the charming atmosphere of Riverfront Park (located at 1284 E. River Front Rd., Cottonwood, AZ 86326).
“Not unlike wine growing in AZ, Old Town Cottonwood is on fire! So many world-class wines in one beautiful location. So many new producers and restaurants to discover. And stars have finally aligned on my busy schedule. I get to actually witness it all this year. Gonna be a great weekend,” said Maynard James Keenan, founder of the Verde Valley Wine Festival and owner/head winemaker at Caduceus Cellars, Merkin Vineyards, and Four 8 Wineworks.
Twenty-one of the best local wineries within the Verde Valley will be in attendance, pouring their newest releases by the glass, bottle and case. Other libations will include non-alcoholic Kombucha and mocktails among other options.
To pair with the locally sourced wine, a variety of local fare will be on hand.
Live music will be on stage throughout the day, including What’s The Big Idea, Well Dressed Wolves and the S.E. Willis Trio with Sweet Baby Ray, along with a variety of local artisans who will be on site sharing their AZ-made wares.
