Piano soloist James D’León under the baton of Maestro Peter Bay will closeout this season of the Arizona Philharmonic with Echoes and Riffs, spanning musical eras from minimalist and spiritual tones to baroque-inspired music to lyrical beauty and serene music to jazz.
The concert starts at 3 p.m. April 27 at the Ruth Street Theater, 1050 Ruth St., with a pre-concert talk at 2 p.m. Tickets start at $25 with no ticketing fee and are available at azphil.org.

The day before, April 26, Peter Bay and James D’León will lead the Community Lecture Series 11 a.m. to noon.
They will discuss important and varied piano concerti throughout the different periods of music history, including a sneak peek at the Kapustin Piano Concert No. 4, Op. 56, the season’s musical closer the next day.
General admission tickets are $12 for adults and $5 for children.
Please note that the Community Lecture Series is a separate event from Sunday’s pre-concert and talk and will feature distinct content.
