The lights in more than 90 Courthouse Plaza trees decorated for the holidays were switched to blue Jan. 9, 10 and 11 in honor of National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day.
A short program was presented by local agencies on the north side steps of the Courthouse the first night.
“We’re proud to honor our area law enforcement this way,” said Matt Brassard, Board President with the Prescott Downtown Partnership on the fourth year of the blue lighting. “It’s just a small way for us to show our gratitude.”
The lighting was presented by Prescott Downtown Partnership, Prescott Chamber of Commerce Foundation and Arizona’s Christmas City. It was sponsored by Desert Financial Credit Union, Experience Prescott, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona, Friends of Jersey Lilly, Prescott Chamber of Commerce and the City of Prescott.
