Bonnie Raitt is kicking off her 24-city fall tour in Prescott Valley Sept. 6 at Findlay Toyota Center.
The Just Like That… tour, which started April 26 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, will travel to 27 cities before starting the second leg of the tour in Arizona and Southern California. Raitt will travel up the West Coast and finish in the Pacific Northwest throughout September and October before heading to the Southeast and Florida in November to wind up the year.
These dates will be supported by special guest James Hunter. He has been crowned “The United Kingdom’s Greatest Soul Singer” by MOJO Magazine. He’s been recognized with a nomination for a Grammy® Award for Best Traditional Blues Album and an Americana Music Award for Best New/Emerging Artist. Hunter and his six-piece band (with a stand-up horn section), have released six studio albums, with a seventh recorded and on its way.
Some might think Raitt would be eager to rest and take some downtime after headlining 75 concerts in 2022 and another 50 in 2023 spanning the U.S., Australia, the UK, Scotland, Ireland and Canada, in addition to winning three Grammy® awards at the 65th Annual ceremony in February 2023 and an Americana Music Award this past September (making Just Like That the first composition to win Song of the Year at both ceremonies).
The fact is, though there are always healthy breaks built into each tour, after a few weeks, Bonnie is itching to get back to what she loves most — traveling and playing live. Luckily her band, crew and the fans feel the same way!
From Prescott Valley on to Tucson Sept. 7 at Linda Ronstadt Music Hall and then stops at Humphreys in San Diego, The Mountain Winery in Saratoga, California, Fox Theater in Oakland, California, Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall in Portland, Oregon and the Paramount Theatre in Seattle, Washington, as well as Bonnie’s first appearance since 2006 at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville.
