Prescott Now: How long have you guys been playing together?
Darin & Deering Band: We have been playing together for three years.
Prescott Now: What’s the story behind your band’s name?
Darin & Deering Band: We decided to use our first name and then switched to the double Ds. (Darin Mahoney and Andrew Deering)
Prescott Now: How do you connect with your audience during a show?
Darin & Deering Band: Interacting with audience and playing songs they probably haven’t heard in a while. We also invite and bring up to play “up and coming” musicians.
Prescott Now: How would you describe your sound?
Darin & Deering Band: A mix of old and new country, some rock, as well as instrumental.
Prescott Now: What is the most memorable moment of your career so far?
Darin & Deering Band: Andrew says the time he spent in Austin, Texas, playing with the legends and up and coming artists. Darin says it would have to be opening for Kenny Chesney and Keith Urban at the Cardinals football stadium.
Prescott NOW: What motivates your band to perform?
Darin & Deering Band: For the love of music and the camaraderie.
Prescott NOW: What brought you to Prescott?
Darin & Deering Band: Andrew says the life and the love of the music scene that Prescott has to offer. Darin says that he has always loved Chino Valley, and he and his wife Amy decided to make the move there in 2017.
