Trips & Tours: A Walk and Talk from Arizona to the Tropics

March 19, 2020 @ 8:00 am

The Highlands Center is going to the Phoenix Zoo to have a conservation conversation. Visit the arid southwest and the tropics in only one afternoon! The lead guide, Rachel, and senior exhibit guide, Damian, will lead two personal walks to see the conservation efforts for Arizona and tropical animals at the zoo. Some of the animals you can look forward to seeing are ringtail, prairie dog, buff-cheek gibbon, and Sumatran tiger! The Phoenix Zoo is partially credited with the conservation efforts and reclassification, from extinct in the wild to vulnerable, of the Arabian oryx. Come see the animals and learn how the Phoenix Zoo is working to do the same for them. Bus will depart from the Highlands Center for Natural History. $63 for members, $70 for nonmembers.
