Findlay Subaru Prescott proudly hosted a memorable Make-A-Wish® Arizona Send-Off Party in February for 12-year-old Wish Kid Jason, who lives with an autoimmune disorder. He wished for an adventure at Walt Disney World® Resort.
As Jason entered the dealership, he was met with an enthusiastic surprise welcome from the Findlay Subaru Prescott team, administrative office staff, Make-A-Wish® Arizona representatives, and even customers, creating a moment that took him by surprise. After being initially overwhelmed, Jason and his family entered the celebration with smiles and gratitude as they met the team and took in the festive atmosphere.
Jason shared his excitement for two attractions he’s been dreaming of: Slinky Dog Dash at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and TRON Lightcycle Run at Magic Kingdom — the rides he says he was “most looking forward to.”
To make the family’s wish trip even more special, General Manager Jason Jenkins presented Jason and his family with a generous collection of gifts and essentials for their adventure. Each family member received Subaru gear hats, water bottles, travel neck pillows, luggage tags, ponchos, fanny packs, plus Prescott K-9 Supporter T-shirts and Visa gift cards, so everyone could bring back something special from their vacation.
The celebration also included double chocolate cupcakes, one of Jason’s favorite treats. His grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins all joined to celebrate.
The family departed for Orlando, Florida, Feb. 15, where they spent the week at Give Kids the World Village exploring the Walt Disney World parks.
