Flour Stone Bakery opened its doors in 2015 and since has solidified itself as a town staple.
We own and operate this unique and cozy spot. We not only run a business together, we’ve spent the past 30 years raising a family and are now proud grandparents. The name Flour Stone holds a deeper meaning to us as it is a direct translation in Hebrew of our last name.
Igal is a generational baker, having his hand in the baking trade since age 13. In 1967 he immigrated to the United States from Israel. While working in a bakery, he met Kim. We began our relationship with a dream of having our own family and owning our very own thriving bakery.
“We would talk endlessly about what we would offer and where the shop would be. It was a lot of dreaming,” Kim says.
When Flour Stone Bakery opened its doors in rural Arizona, it was a small shop operated by family members. The business grew so fast that we were able to achieve our goal and move the business to Prescott Valley in 2019.
The move proved to be one the best decisions for us because the bakery has flourished.
Flour Stone Bakery is best known for its authentic bear claws, Danish pastries and freshly baked bread. However, the main attraction is quickly becoming our custom cakes and destination wedding cakes.
To date, Flour Stone has created hundreds of custom cakes for every occasion. Hand painting, palette
knife art, and buttercream marbling are just a few of the decorating techniques used to create incredible and one-of-a-kind cakes for our customers.
Flour Stone has made a name for itself by not only creating amazing products, but also by keeping the traditional art of baking and cake decorating alive.
