Greater Prescott came to spooky life at the end of October as kids and kids at heart tried on new costumes and identities, collected treats galore, frolicked in haunted houses and played frightfully fun games. Here are some of the community’s highlights from Oct. 26-31, 2024.
Pine Ridge Prowl Trick-or-Treat — Oct. 26
Pine Ridge Marketplace hosted this family-friendly afternoon event offering a fun and safe experience for all ages. Featured activities included trunk-or-treating courtesy of Prescott Cars and Coffee, trick-or-treating with participating merchants, free hotdogs, popcorn, and cotton candy, courtesy of Starting Point Balloon, twisters, corn maze, and bounce house, spooky sounds to set the perfect atmosphere and a spook-tacular photo wall, perfect for capturing a creepy keepsake.
Trunk-or-Treat on Main Street — Oct. 26
Community fun was had in the heart of the Town of Dewey-Humboldt, where residents and visitors wore favorite costumes, grabbed some candy and decorated their trunks to entice locals of all ages to gather and take some of their treats. The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office, Central Arizona Fire and Medical Agency (CAFMA) and other agencies also joined the fun.
Spurs and Sweets Trunk Fest! — Oct. 27
The Phippen Museum held its first-ever Halloween party this year, a Spurs and Sweets festival offering a spooky photo booth, a mini-golf course with multiple chills and thrills, a mummy-making contest, eyeball pong, pumpkin tic-tac-toe and lots more fun activities for everyone involved.
2024 Mt. Vernon Candy Crawl — Oct. 31
Candy Crawl at QuadCity Christian Church is a free annual event with candy, food, inflatables, games, and tons more fun! Free parking was provided with a shuttle to more trick-or-treating on Mount Vernon Street.
Safe Trick-or-Treat — Oct. 31
Findlay Toyota Center hosted the Prescott Valley Early Bird Lions Club as it held their annual Safe Halloween Trick-or-Treat event at the Findlay Toyota Center. The free event included numerous businesses, organizations, and individuals participating and handing out candy treats. Tables were set up both inside and outside the center.
Boo at the Zoo — Oct. 31
The Heritage Park Zoo welcomed kids and grownups in costume to trick-or-treat at stations around the sanctuary so they could visit with their favorite animals. Flashlights let visitors see the nocturnal animals and fun photo spots were scattered throughout.
