Horses with Heart

Horses with Heart presented its fifth annual “Have a Heart” equestrian competition Sept. 30 at Olsen’s Arena in Chino Valley. With barrel racing and pole bending for Pee Wees on up, the day was full of romping horses, courageous cowgirls and the pageantry that accompanies events that celebrate these magnificent animals. All proceeds went to HwH, a nonprofit that helps to transform the lives of disabled children and adults, including military veterans, through therapeutic horsemanship. Their gentle horses help clients obtain confidence, dignity and independence with assistance from highly credentialed staff.
