Yavapai County is rich with talent, including a vibrant community of writers — some of whom have gone on to become published authors.
In addition to carrying books from many local authors, the library seeks to foster the writing community in other ways, including through targeted programming. On the fourth Tuesday of the month at 6 PM, the library hosts Prescott Writers lectures that cover a variety of topics about writing, editing and publishing.
The library also will celebrate this thriving community in a special way at our upcoming Local Author Fair. On Saturday, Nov. 2, 11 AM to 2 PM, the community is invited to meet and greet more than 25 local authors. These authors will have copies of their books for sale and will be available to talk about their books and writing. With authors representing stories for all ages and including a range of genres both in fiction and nonfiction, there’s something for everyone. Don’t miss this opportunity to immerse yourself in the creative writing culture of the Yavapai County area.
