The annual Prescott Martin Luther King Peace and Justice March and Celebration was held Monday, Jan. 16. This year’s theme was Love in Motion, reflecting Dr. King’s ambition to use the power of love to keep moving forward toward the goal of greater social justice.
Marchers assembled at 10 a.m. at the Prescott College Welcome Center to march around the Courthouse Square, concluding at the Prescott United Methodist Church on Gurley St.
A program of speakers, music, celebration and break-out sessions followed where keynote speaker Charlotte Strayhorne and Spoken Word speaker Truth B. Told discussed MLK’s legacy.
