Rita Rudner broke into standup comedy while the club scene was still hostile towards women and went on to become a regular guest on the Tonight Show and Late Night with David Letterman, later becoming Las Vegas’ longest-running solo female comedy act and selling nearly 2 million tickets. She came to the Yavapai College Performing Arts Center Feb. 19, 2023 for a return engagement of sly observational humor and carefully constructed jokes focused on women, relationships, the pitfalls and pleasures of growing older and her mother-in-law.
