On July 15, the Republican Women of Prescott (RWOP) presented Honor Flight with a donation of $5,715. This amount included a $500 check donated anonymously and given to President Sue Davis before the July meeting.
On hand to tell the RWOP membership of their travels to Washington, D.C., to view the memorial were three local veterans — Don McGee, Terry Ford and Maureen O’Neill.
Honor Flight pays homage to veterans of WWII, Korean and Vietnam wars by providing a three-day all expenses paid trip to view the memorial in Washington.
Honor Flight receives no government funding and is 100% volunteer-based, relying on charitable donations to maintain its operations. RWOP has been a significant supporter of Honor Flight for more than 10 years.
Founded in 1942, the Republican Women of Prescott proudly holds the title of the largest Republican Women’s Club in the nation, with nearly 1,000 members.
