Immerse yourself in the richness of cowboy culture as the 38th annual Arizona Cowboy Poets Gathering takes center stage at the Jim & Linda Lee Performing Arts Center at Yavapai College, Aug. 6-8.
One of Prescott’s most anticipated annual events, the Gathering promises an unforgettable celebration of the American cowboy way of life through music, poetry and storytelling.
Bringing together more than 40 authentic cowboy singers, poets and storytellers, the event offers two full days of free on-campus breakout sessions and three nights filled with inspiring performances designed to honor the heritage, values and vibrant traditions of the Western lifestyle.

Thursday, Aug. 6 kicks off with the talented Trinity Seely, whose music offers a heartfelt glimpse into her life as a cowgirl and ranch wife. From her roots in British Columbia to her current role as director of the horse program at The Thacher School in California, Trinity’s songs reflect a deep appreciation for the Western way of life. A celebrated performer at the National Cowboy Poetry Gathering in Elko, Nevada, and a favorite at past Arizona Cowboy Poets Gatherings, Trinity’s music is sure to captivate.
Friday, Aug. 7 welcomes the dynamic duo of Floyd and Valerie Beard, ranchers and poets from Southeast Colorado. Floyd, a four-time International Western Music Association Male Poet of the Year, has been crafting vivid, heartfelt poetry for over 40 years. Valerie, a two-time Female Poet of the Year of the same organization, brings her own unique voice to the stage with humorous and poignant reflections on ranch life. Together, they promise an evening of laughter, heart and authenticity.
Saturday, Aug. 8 closes with the electrifying Kristyn Harris, a six-time International Western Music Association Entertainer of the Year and a Texas-bred musical powerhouse. Known for her powerful voice, swing rhythm guitar and yodeling, Kristyn’s performances blend original and classic cowboy songs with an energetic Western swing style. Her accolades include recognition from the National Cowboy Hall of Fame and the CMA of Texas, making her a must-see act.
