1 bottle of red wine
1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
1 cinnamon stick
3-4 cardamom pods
2-3 star anise
1 orange, sliced
¼ cup brandy (optional)

Ingredients
1 cup cranberry juice
2 cups sparkling water
1 tbsp lime juice
Fresh cranberries and
lime slices for garnish
In a saucepan, combine the wine, honey, cinnamon stick, cardamom, star anise and orange slices. Heat gently for 10 to 15 minutes (do not boil). Add brandy if desired. Serve warm, garnished with extra orange slices or cinnamon sticks for an added touch of festivity.
