by Leon Moise, Salt & Pepper
In the middle of the morning sometime, probably around breakfast time, in the hills of Guanajuato Mexico, on Dec. 4, 1989, was born one Juve Rodriguez, and he was hungry for breakfast!
As a baby he screamed for shrimp and grits on Sunday, he would drive his father crazy for lemon ricotta pancakes on Wednesday, forget about Thursdays and Friday —they were the hardest — because little Juve wanted coconut French toast, Churro French toast, and cannoli French toast!
He would scream, “El desayuno es lo mas rico del dia.”! (Breakfast is the best part of the day.)
One day Mama Rodriguez said, “Mijo pass the salt and pepper.” Little Juve responded “Si Mama,” and it was born. Juve Rodriguez would open Salt & Pepper, Prescott’s hottest breakfast establishment filled with all his favorite breakfast dishes.
All joking aside, a breakfast establishment is something Juve always wanted to open, and now it’s a reality.
He has combined a flavorful menu with a friendly atmosphere. With amazing dishes like huevos rancheros or the amazing maple siracha bacon, you will be amazed at the flavor profiles. Get ready for a mimosa flight to include prickly pear, guava, mango and orange. You will not be disappointed with a to-die-for bloody mary.
Get ready for your mouth to spin sideways at Salt and Pepper, Prescott’s newest breakfast addition.
