Vibes Juice Bar at 216 S. Montezuma St. is in a bright purple building. Owned by Jamaal and Rhona McCoy of Prescott, Vibes serves cold-pressed juices, smoothies, wellness shots, smoothie bowls and acai bowls.
The bowls — a customer favorite — are topped with such wholesome ingredients as granola, goji berries, chia seeds, cacao nibs, coconut flakes and nut butter drizzle. They come with such names as Mocha Marvel, Spiced Mango and Berry Bliss.
Vibes’ wellness juice shots and wheatgrass shots also are popular, with ingredients known to boost immunity, digestion and metabolism and reduce inflammation.
Every item at Vibes is plant based, nondairy and free from refined sugars. The focus is creating vibrant flavor combinations using superfoods like acai berries, blueberries, goji berries, matcha, spirulina and chia seeds.
“We’d been going to Vibes for several years and truly loved their fresh juices, smoothies, acai bowls — basically everything on the menu, and when it came up for sale, we decided to buy it,” says co-owner Jamaal McCoy. “Juicing is such a healthy, tasty way to get nutrients without added sugar.”
He says the juice bar only uses “real food” like fresh fruit and almond milk in its smoothies — never any prepackaged mixes.
“All our juices are cold pressed in our kitchen daily,” McCoy says. “Cold pressing retains more of the vitamins, minerals and enzymes than other methods. We hear from customers all the time how fresh and invigorating our smoothies and juices are.” Salads and vegan products also are offered.
Vibes is open Tuesday through Friday 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM and Saturday and Sunday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
The McCoys, who moved to Prescott in 2017, also own Nana’s restaurant at 1011 Commerce Drive and Barbudos Mexican Grill & Cantina at 1042 Willow Creek.
